As public relations professionals, it is our job to craft a message that speaks to our audience. Today, our audiences are more dynamic, using sophisticated means to get their information. They have the world at their fingertips, but 140 characters and sound-bytes are quickly becoming ordinary prose. With constant noise, and thousands of other companies competing for the same ten-second attention span, it is more important than ever that our messages are seamless.
The Cirlot Agency would like to congratulate Rick Looser on a successful semester teaching at The University of Alabama. Rick taught Public Relations Campaigns – the final class required for all PR majors. Campaigns created during the semester were presented during the final class. All of the plans and strategies were well received, however, the winning teams chosen by Rick and The Alabama Poison Center were Mosaic and Top Notch.
An online, integrated crisis communications strategy is necessary in today’s connected society. Recent budget cuts, furloughs and layoffs due to sequestration have pushed many companies to turn to their social media accounts to share vital information with employees, stakeholders and the general public.
Lynda Lesley, VP Creative Director for The Cirlot Agency, and her husband, Robert, were selected as judges for the 14th annual Crossroads Film Festival, sponsored by the Crossroads Film Society. The festival, held April 11-14, featured entries from Mississippi and around the world that competed to win cash and prizes in each of 9 categories.
